Whispered around the campfire
Many evil tales of wanton woe:
A terrible bear with claws of fire.
Gigantic maw of merciless crow.
Slashing teeth of wolves in pack.
Eating alive just for a snack.

But the scariest monster of every tale:
The naked ape who lost his tail.
Hell-bent on winning,
He binged on his sinning.
Demanded it all.
Gorging on gall,
He was ripe for the fall
With his ego so tall.

Left hand said:
“I want! I need! I get!
You must forget.
You must forfeit.”
Right hand said:
“I want! I need! I get!
You must forget.
You must forfeit!”

Well, well, well. Isn’t that swell.
I’ll see you both in holy hell.
You can fight and you can stew
If that’s all you’re smart enough to do.
You’ll lose it all in your ego-ooze.
Snooze and booze and all will lose.

Left foot said:
“I go first. I must be first. It is the law!”
Right foot said:
“Stupid Left, I win the draw!
It’s always Right for right foot first.
I sever you with sharpest saw!
And with your blood I slake my thirst!”

Left eye screamed its vivid dreams:
“I see what’s what and all that’s true!”
Right eye schemed and mimicked memes:
“I see Truth. I always do!”

But the scariest monster of every tale:
The naked ape who lost his tail.
Hell-bent on winning,
He binged on his sinning.
Demanded it all.
Gorging on gall,
He was ripe for the fall
With his ego so tall.
With his ego so tall,
He was ripe for the fall.
