It may well be.
Everyone who ever hates
Can generate a heap of lies
To make their hate seem justified.
But why be fustified?
When there are so many better things
To fill your heart and mind?
Do not hate.
Demonstrate.
Show through word and deed
That hate and greed
Are not the only creed.
Do not hate.
Educate.
Hate is always based on lies.
There may be one you really do despise.
But everyone?
That’s a loaded gun
Aimed without a thought
About the cost.
Do not hate.
Navigate.
The shortest path
Is not always the fastest path.
Look ahead.
Use your head.
Don’t get dead.
Do not hate.
Negotiate.
It doesn’t always work.
But it’s always worth a try.
Just don’t be a jerk.
Diplomacy apply.
Do not hate.
Cooperate.
There’s at least one thing
About the world that both sides love
Of that you sing
Help that thing rise above.
But mainly, do not hate
Because it hurts you to hate.
